Daniel Lee Thomas
Graveside services for Daniel Lee Thomas, 66, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Fowler Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Thomas passed away at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 at his home.
He was born November 14, 1952, at Eufaula, Oklahoma, to Tony Thomas and Mary Taylor Strump. On April 7, 1978, he was married at Las Vegas, Nevada to Hazel Rhodes. He enjoyed his horses, western movies, whittling canes and visiting with people; he never met a stranger. Mr. Thomas was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, Pottersville, Missouri and was baptized and born again on July 17, 1983.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Thomas, of the family home; six children, Susan Reynolds and husband, Kenny, Bakersfield, California, Peggy Moon, Denton, Texas, Laura Traffanstedt, West Plains, Del Traffanstedt and wife, Charmaine, Odessa, Texas, Brandon Thomas, St. Louis, Missouri and Roseanna Tackitt and husband, Paul, Caulfield, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren, James, Lisa, Kimberly, Crystal, Danny, Jordan, Oliver, Mariah, Taylor, Tyson, Mary, Connie, Seth, Matthew, Rayna, Suzy, Jessie, Jaron and Skyla; sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Steve Thomas, Eufaula, Oklahoma; and one sister, Sabrina Comstock, Eufaula, Oklahoma.
His parents, one great-granddaughter and one brother, David Thomas, preceded him in death.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Will Rhodes and his wife Joan, for the kindness shown to them in their time of need; Will defines the true meaning of a brother.
Prior to the graveside service the family will have a memorial service at 12:00 Noon at First Missionary Baptist Church, Pottersville, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to First Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

didn’t get to see danny and hazel but once a yr. but looked forward to the visit, like talking about the bible with him,sure enjoyed the visits we had ,he is going to be missed,greatly,by myself and sue. our prayers and thoughts are with the rest of the family out there. we love you.
