Funeral services for Bertha Malindia Leach, 88, Peace Valley, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Leach passed away at 7:00 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2019 at her home.
She was born December 17, 1939, at Liberal, Kansas, to Frank Barney Owens and Mary Catherine Brown Owens. In 1947, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Harry Earl Miller, who preceded her in death on September 20, 1985. On December 20, 1996, she was married at Peace Valley, Missouri, to Stacy Paul Leach, who preceded her in death on September 12, 2002. She loved to cook and bake; every Sunday before her family would eat, she would make plates for friends and neighbors that were shut-ins. Bertha loved to quilt, crochet, Bible study and old hymns.
She is survived by nine children, Sue Henry and husband, Raymond, Raymond Earl Miller, Sandy Bosserman and husband, Maurice, all of Peace Valley, Missouri, Glen Miller and wife, Bonnie, Mountain View, Missouri, Jane Reno and husband, Mark, Rover, Missouri, Harold Miller and wife, Sharon, Randy Leach and wife, Terry, Wilma Schwien and husband, David and Marilyn Duncan and husband, Dan all of Peace Valley, Missouri; twenty-two grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, including Sonja Prewitt.
Her parents, husbands, one son, Ronnie Miller, one daughter-in-law, Ruth Miller, two grandchildren, Skyler Schwien and Shawna Henry, one brother, Floyd Koster, and four sisters, Glenna Cooper, Wilma Owens, Beulah Coster and Frieda Coster, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

I’m sorry for your loss but it is nice to know Bertha lived a very full life. I remember eating cookies at your house when we were kids. Bertha made great cookies!
