Leona (Maxine) Ellett

Funeral services for Leona (Maxine) Ellett, 89, Peace Valley, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Chapel Hill Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  

Mrs. Ellett passed away at 7:17 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Mountain View Healthcare.  

She was born October 18, 1932, at Peace Valley, Missouri, to Fred Story and Laura Leona (Babe) Wilbanks.  She graduated from West Plains High School.  On December 1, 1951, she was married at Peace Valley, Missouri, to Leslie Edward Ellett, who preceded her in death February 27, 2012.  Mrs. Ellett enjoyed quilting, farm life, and doing puzzles.

She is survived by two children, Leroy Edward Ellett and wife, Linda, Peace Valley, Missouri, and Leona Nichols and husband, Morris, Ashland, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Lorraine Ellett, West Plains, Missouri; four grandchildren, Stacy Ellett, Wayne Ellett, Jenifer Chisholm, and Diane Elam; one brother, Ralph Story, Archie, Missouri; niece, Charlotte Melrose, St. Charles, Missouri; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, two sons, Leslie DeWayne Ellett and Dan Davis Ellett, one daughter, Della Schafer, two brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death.  

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Hill Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO  65775.
