James Bernt Klock, 77, Pomona, Missouri, passed away at 3:19 p.m., Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Cox South, Springfield, Missouri.
He was born October 3, 1944, at Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Benjamen Karl Klock and Ruth Amos Byerly Klock. On October 31, 1964, he was married at La Plata, Maryland, to Carolyn Faye Newton, who preceded him in death August 18, 2021. Mr. Klock served with the United States Army. He was a carpenter and craftsman. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, and photography, and he was an avid reader. Mr. Klock was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by six children, Beth Mathews and husband, Randy, Makaha, Hawaii, Tina Ham and husband, Robert, Ocala, Florida, Jim Dewey Klock and wife, Marcie, Stafford, Virginia, Amanda Brown and husband, Devin, West Plains, Missouri, Allison Klock-O’Connor and husband, Greg, Warrensburg, Missouri, and Ross Klock, Pomona, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bonnie Mason, Sally Emerey and husband, David, and Chrissy Sullivan; and numerous cousins.
His parents, wife, one daughter, Wendi Borders, and three brothers, Thomas, Jonathan, and Jessie Klock preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks or any autism research or support organization and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

Klock Family!! We are sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. He was such a nice man. Every Christmas we looked forward to receiving a Christmas card from your family. We always exchanged Christmas cards back and forth for several years. I was just thinking of your mom and dad when I was doing my cards from Mark and I this year. Here is a hug and prayer for each one of you.
