Graveside services for Delbert Roy Robinson, 57, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2022 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Robinson passed away at 11:20 a.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center due to complications from Covid.
Delbert was born October 16, 1964 at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to William Roy and Norma Robinson. He grew up in Canton, Illinois, and graduated from Canton High School. He was a grocery clerk and, later, a meat cutter. Delbert enjoyed attending auctions, going to thrift stores, and finding a bargain. He was passionate about animals. His favorite pastime was playing with his precious cat, Zingie. Delbert was a kind, caring, and compassionate man. He will always be loved and fondly remembered.
He is survived by his loving wife, Clara Cooley Robinson, of the family home; one brother, Lloyd Robinson (Betty), Canton, Illinois; one brother-in-law, Donnie Cooley (Glenda), Alton, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Mary Smith (Charlie), Roseburg, Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, William and Norma Robinson, preceded him in death.
Burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, West Plains Regional Animal Shelter, or any charity of choice and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

I am so sorry to learn of Delbert’s passing. I’ve known Delbert for many years. Growing up around Cloud 9 Ranch together then working together at Wal-Mart for several years. Always the greatest guy. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

A lot of my childhood memories include Delbert. I still have the 1979 Motley Crue concert t-shirt I got from him. He taught me about heavy metal music and picked on me for liking Duran Duran. Lots of good memories.

I remember Delbert in my younger years when him and Lloyd moved to West Plains. I am so glad I reconnected with him through the Auctions him and Clara came to alot. Clara and Lloyd prayers for you both. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a great guy always a smile on his face.

Clara, I can’t express how much I enjoyed being around Delbert when we worked at Walmart and how incredibly sorry I am for your loss. He made me laugh constantly. If there is anything I can do please let me know.
