His parents, one daughter, Mynde Nicole Tarter, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ethel and Jess Harmon, two brothers-in-law, Dale Harmon and Carl Langston, preceded him in death.

Betty and Norma Jean & Families,
My Deepest Sympathy to all of you on Harry’s passing. Harry was a wonderful caring individual who always had a smile/joke for his friends. Harry was 22 years older than me but he always treated me like a sister. I always enjoyed being around him due to his wonderful personality. Wonderful memories of my Dad taking my sister and I to the parents house when he fixed their television and Harry spending time with us..making it a special trip for us. He will be greatly missed. I will keep all of you in my daily prayers/thoughts and may God comfort, encourage, strengthen, and give each of you peace. May God bless all of you.
In Christian Love,

From day one when Mynde brought me home you have accepted me and loved me like your own. You continuously welcomed me into you home and heart over the last 20 years. I truly can’t think of life before you and Betty. You have been bonus parents to me and been there through the most difficult times. You have made me laugh more times than I can recall and given me the best sermons any ear can hear. The world was a better place with you in it and will truly be blessed by the mark you left. I will forever cherish the memories we made and hold you close to my heart. Love you big time and there will never be another to hug the way you did. See ya soon buddy

Harry & Tommy friends from grade school & shared a special bond. I met the family in Lowes in Springfield
They had brought Mynde to a 3 on 3 basketball
Play in Springfield. We hit it off great & invited Mynde to go
To A Lady Bears game to watch Jackie Stiles . She got to go several times with me. Harry & Betty were always so kind & Harry always made you feel special! Then we moved to West Plains & Betty & I became good friends! We felt like family & enjoyed our time with them. Harry & i both enjoyed basketball so talked on phone a lot! Always answered phone with How are you you good looking gal! Which I’m sure he told everyone haha! Only one Harry & he could always say a great prayer! Will miss you Buddy! Another name he used a lot!! And made you think you were his buddy! Rip in peace

Betty, Misty and family, I am so sorry that dear friend passed away. I didn’t hear anything about my buddy passing away until Sunday afternoon and I am sorry I haven’t been by or called. I don’t know if I can. I met Harry at a younger age when he worked at Colonial Bread, Soon after met up with Harry as Keith & I were dating, We all attended Faith Chapel. Then I took a job at Junction Hill where beautiful sweet Mynde and I visited at recess. At the end of the day Harry and a few others might come into the teachers lounge where we designated ourselves as the Knight’s of the Round Table. We didn’t have alot of time but those few min. Harry always had a joke. Most always a dumb blonde joke that I didn’t get and didn’t laugh. If we got to loud vice principal Joyce Holland would bang on the wall. I could go on and on because in the 45+ years we have been best buds and he is one that there will never be another like him and we still kept in touch and ended up attending another church for years. He will always be my big brother. I still can’t believe he isn’t here anymore and like so many others esp. Betty, Misty and her family will miss him so much. I am so sorry for your loss and thankful that God let our paths cross over and over. See you there at the round table Brother!

I’ve known Harry since I was a young girl. He would bring bread to the Hitching Post in Caulfield where I worked. He was the sweetest man. Always wore a smile, had something good to say and was quick with a joke. He used to tell me that he would dance at my wedding in a hog trough. Many prayers headed to Betty and Misti as they try to navigate life without him. Heaven is sweeter with him there.
