Graveside services for Viva Lee Garner Stanley, 96, Springfield, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2022, at County Line Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stanley passed away at 7:00 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2022 at her home at Montclair Senior Living, Springfield, Missouri.
She was born October 1, 1925, at Pickren Hall, Arkansas, to Otho Leslie Ivester and Cynthia Ethel Morrison Ivester. She was married to Jim Garner, who preceded her in death on August 12, 1983. Viva loved her flowers, her yard and traveling. She was in a guitarist in a country band and enjoyed playing at nursing homes. Mrs. Stanley was a member of Sunset Church of Christ, Springfield, Missouri.
She is survived by three children, Bob Garner and wife, Karen, West Plains, Missouri, Patty Warren and husband, Gordon, Warrensburg, Missouri and Connie Garner, St. Petersburg, Florida; seven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husbands, Jim Garner and Jim Stanley, one sister, Fannie Garner and one brother, Davis Ivester, preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to County Line Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

I am sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. It was many years ago that we were neighbors, but I will always remember what a great neighborhood we had and your mother helped make it great.

Sorry to see this, but Viva Lee lived a long and beautiful life leaving a legacy of love for you, her children and grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Praying for all of you.

Bob, Patty and Connie I am so saddened to hear this. I loved (love) your Mom so much. I was just talking about Aunt Viva Lee this past weekend. Heaven has gained a great lady.
