Hassel Dean Asher
Funeral services for Hassel Dean Asher, 77, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Elijah Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Asher died at 3:35 a.m., Sunday, December 9, 2012, at NHC Healthcare.
She was born August 13, 1935, at Elijah, Missouri, to James Thomas “Tommy” Spoon and Snowie Tackitt Spoon. On April 13, 1954, she was married at South Bend, Indiana, to Cecil Marian Asher, who preceded her in death on September 4, 2011. Mrs. Asher was self-employed. She loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was Aunt Hassel to everyone. Mrs. Asher was a member of the Elijah Church of Christ.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Asher, wife, Tracy, Pomona, Missouri; two granddaughters, Marian Harris and husband, Chris and children, Kayla and Trevor, West Plains, Missouri and Julie Asher and Duane Vogelsmeier and children Mikalah and Makenzie, Sweet Springs, Missouri; two sisters, Emilie Joice, husband, Donald, and Donna Mae Spencer, all of Caulfield, Missouri; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her parents, husband, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dollie and George, precede her in death.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Elijah Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Elijah Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Tom, I a so sorry to hear about your Momma. I will always remember the nights we spent at the shop playing “Home Run” with ball cards and her teaching me how to cheat! You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear of Hassel’s passing. We always thought alot of your parents. I think of Cecil and I think of how he would just drop down on his flat feet and sit there visiting down at the garage. I always wondered how he could sit there that long. Hassel was always selling something. She was a great woman. She will be remembered by many.
