Graveside services for Ruby Jewell Hobbs, 85, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Fowler Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hobbs passed away at 7:45 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Pleasant Valley Manor.
She was born March 2, 1937, at Caulfield, Missouri, to Elza Caleb Hixon and Ellen Martha Martin Hixon. On September 14, 1953, she was married at Egypt Grove, Missouri, to Cleo Roosevelt Hobbs, who preceded her in death on December 14, 2001. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and visiting with family and friends. Mrs. Hobbs was a member of Gospel Hill Church of Christ.
She is survived by two children, Danny Ray Hobbs and wife, Linda, West Plains, Missouri and Glenda Sue Wood and husband, Kenny, Pottersville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Bethany Kunz, Brianne Hobbs, Darrin Wood and Devin Wood; four great-grandchildren, Maya, Reece, Jacob and Avie; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one brother, Robert Hixon and four sisters, Thelma House, Juanita Walker, Avis Roberts and Darlene Hixon, preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.
