Angeeta L. “Angie” Burden

Funeral services for Angeeta L. “Angie” Burden, 71, West Plains, Missouri, will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burden died at 12:24 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2012 at her home.  She was born May 17, 1940, at West Plains, Missouri, to Doin Roy and Wilma Lee Sanders Anderson.  On May 20, 1961, she was married at Joplin, Missouri, to Dick Burden.  Before her retirement, Mrs. Burden operated The In Place in West Plains, Missouri for many years.  She was a member of Eagle Heights Independent Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Dick Burden, of the family home; two children, John Doin Burden and Laura Lee Melvin, husband, Eddie, both of West Plains, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kyle James Burden, Jonathan Cole Burden, Evan James Melvin and Madison Nicole Melvin; one brother, Jimmy Owen Anderson, wife, Nancy, Springfield, Missouri; three sisters, Sharon Cantrell, husband, J.R., Potosi, Missouri, Laneda Anderson, Warrensburg, Missouri and Lana Courtney, special friend, Eddie Lohman, Enid, Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her parents precede her in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the South Fork Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Riverways Hospice or American Cancer Society and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
