Maxwell Leo McCready

Maxwell Leo McCready, 75, Couch, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Ozarks Medical Center. 

He was born August 17, 1948, at Crisfield, Maryland, to Orace Maxwell and Regina McCready.  On September 30, 1985, he was married at North Canaan, Connecticut, to Judy Firkin.  Mr. McCready was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy during the Vietnam crisis.  Before his retirement he was a surveyor for the United States government.  He loved animals; especially his dogs and he enjoyed donating to various animal rescue organizations.  He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.  Mr. McCready was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Judy McCready, of the family home; one daughter, Leah Jerez and significant other, John Vansaat, Crisfield, Maryland; two grandsons, Joshua and Michael; and several nieces and nephews. 

His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.
