I’ll always remember Ray as a kind and caring man who loved his family and loved spending his time coaching little league. Your father was a great man and will be missed. I am sorry to hear of your loss. Please find comfort in the promise at Revelation 21:4 that reads; “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Neither will mourning, outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things has passed away.”

I am so sorry to hear of Ray’s passing. He was so kind to me when I moved to WPHS from Willow Springs. Kindness was a trait he kept throughout his life. This is a loss for the class of 1960. I believe all that knew him and loved him will miss this special man. My prayers are with the family, but I know God will be with all of you and give you the strength that Ray shared with you.

Over the past four years, Ray and I shared memories of high school and time spent in Missouri. These conversations followed him from Houston to the James River Care Center. I feel the loss of a good friend and classmate. Spencer, to you and the rest of his family, I extend my deepest sympathy for the loss of such a good man. He will be missed by many.

We are saddened to hear of Ray’s passing and want to express our condolences to the family of such a fine man. Ray was classmate of ours and our memories go back to WPHS & basketball courts – he was a great Zizzer player – and also to his enlistment into the Navy with Mike. We were glad to see Ray in 2010 and enjoyed our time with him at our class reunion. His life was a blessing to many.

Joyce and Gary and to the rest of Ray’s Family, I’m so sad of Ray’s passing, He was a very dear Friend, Who everyone liked and admired, He was one of the kindest hear ted mild mannered, Person that I ever knew, He always had the little smile that made Everyone feel comfortable around Him, but when it came to basketball He was a true Zizzer, He gave Coach Jim Peters and His Team % 100 all the time, it was a pleasure to have been called a Teamate and a Friend to Ray, I’m so sorry I could not attend Rays Service, but My heart and spirit was there with all of You, I was looking forward to being with Ray the next several years talking about basketball, We both loved basketball, and had plenty to talk about, Dolores and Me really appreciated the way He took care of Us when We were in MD Anderson Hospital there in Houston, He made our stay a lot easier, at the time the Doctors thought I had bad cancer, thank
the good Lord I didn’t, but Ray prayed for Me, We will never forget how great He treated Us!! There is a New Angel looking down on Us now.

Ray, I’m talking to you. I am so impressed, but not surprised, by all of the tributes. They are all expressing the man who I saw.
