Louella VanDusen
Graveside services for Louella VanDusen, 95, Newport, Washington, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Oak Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. VanDusen died Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Newport Community Hospital Long Term Care, Newport Washington. She was born June 12, 1916, at Siloam Springs, Missouri, to James G. Cook and Julia Ann Patton Cook. On July 8, 1939, she was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Rolla VanDusen, who preceded her in death on August 6, 2000. Together they moved to California, where they lived until Rolla passed away. Mrs. VanDusen had lived in a nursing home in Newport, Washington for the past two years. She was of the Baptist faith, her membership being in the First Baptist Church, Folsom, California.
She is survived by a grandson, James Cox, State of Washington; granddaughter, Johnnie Marie Rousseau, State of New Mexico; special step-granddaughter, Kelly Wright, Placerville, California; three nieces, Lois London, husband, Paul, Ruth Devore and Hazel Dollins, all of West Plains, Missouri; several other nieces and nephews in Oklahoma, California and Nevada.
Her parents, husband, one son, James R. Cox, four sisters and seven brothers precede her in death.
Mrs. VanDusen will lie in state from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Oh how miss her. Adopted Grandmother she was to me but I was part of the family. Growing up having her and Rolla (Bud) as my Grandparents meant so much. They shaped me, supported me, loved me and taught me about Jesus. I still miss her so very much. I love you Grandma, always. I wish you didn’t have to go.
