Charlene A. Huffman
Funeral services for Charlene A. Huffman, 87, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 27, 2014, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Huffman passed away at 2:10 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Midland Hospice House, Topeka, Kansas.
She was born January 16, 1927, at Pottersville, Missouri, to Walter Silas Hensley and Vernie Edna Davis Hensley. On September 29, 1945, she was married at Pottersville, Missouri, to Malcom E. Huffman, who passed away on March 28, 2001, after taking care of each other for fifty-five years. They lived in Mountain View, Missouri, Arkansas City, Kansas, Humboldt, Kansas, Wichita, Kansas and returned to West Plains, Missouri, in 1982.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna J. Nichols, husband, Eddie, Lecompton, Kansas; three grandchildren, Cristan Nichols, wife, Heather, Mayetta, Kansas, David Nichols, wife, Tami, Spring Hill, Kansas and Tonia Shirk, husband, Ryan, Wichita, Kansas; three great-grandchildren, Tanner, Carlee and Reanne Shirk; three step-great-grandchildren, Andy, Zach and Emily; one brother, Lowell “Pete” Hensley, wife, Rachel, Springfield, Missouri; four sisters, Mildred Rutan, husband, Steve, Springfield, Missouri, Barbara Lee, Springfield, Missouri, Violet Losh, husband, Steve, Springfield, Missouri and Shirley Callahan, husband, Dewayne, West Plains, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one son, Larry Wayne, three sisters, Ruby Huffman, Dorothy Spencer and Irene White, two brothers, Neal and Thurman Hensley, one brother-in-law, Glen Huffman and two sisters-in-law, Virda Erzinger and Beulah Ellis, precede her in death.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pottersville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pottersville Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of Charlene. I enjoyed her wit and dry sense of humor. I will miss her. I’m sorry I cannot make it to the funeral, but I just can’t go back to Robertson-Drago so soon after losing Mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Donna Jean. Kenitha
