Grover Eugene Johnston

Funeral services for Grover Eugene Johnston, 81, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr.  Johnston died at 10:03 a.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at his home.

He was born September 15, 1932 to Lewis Stephen Johnston and Eleanor Casey Johnston.  He was born and raised on Cloud 9 Ranch.  He was united in marriage to Donna Donaldson and to this union four children were born, Ricky, Samantha, Eric and Kim.  Before his retirement he worked as a pipefitter, welder and truck driver.  Mr. Johnston attended Fowler Chapel Church.

He is survived by six children, Ricky Johnston, wife, Victoria, Rockaway Beach, Missouri, Samantha Bryant, husband, Barry, Evansville, Tennessee, Eric Johnston, West Plains, Missouri, Kim Gipson, husband, Phillip, Vilonia, Arkansas, Jesse Johnston, West Plains, Missouri and Doug Cotter, West Plains,  Missouri; two step-children, Heather Karr, husband, Nathaniel and Hilary Montgomery; eleven grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; former wife, Donna Donaldson Elliott; one brother, Edsel Johnston, wife, Joy, Caulfield, Missouri; one sister, Tammy Newman, husband, Jason, Flippin, Arkansas; many nieces and nephews; and special friend and caretaker, Barbara Coffel.

His parents and one son, Rocky, precede him in death.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m., Saturday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Elijah Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Elijah Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
