Carr was a close friend of my dad, Bob J. Hunter. Carr had a wonderful personality. I went to school with and was a close friend to Carr(Corky) Lawrence Ward. I want to thank the family for the last deer hunt I had with my dad which was on the Ward’s property. I remember going with my dad & Carr over to his business & feeding 2 doberman dogs he kept there. I know he will be missed & pray that God’s peace will be with the family.

Sonny was my mom’s favorite nephew! She always laughed when she shared with us stories about growing up with him. Although I didn’t know Sonny well I have fond memories of the times I was with him as I’m sure my brothers and sisters do as well. He was a wonderful man! God bless him and his family! So sorry for your loss. I got acquainted with Carr in the early 70’s when I went to work for him in his construction business. We have been friends as well as Lodge Brothers all these 40 years. I remember one time during our work travels he pointed out to me where he had lived as a boy. We will miss him. Our loss is Heavens gain. God speed friend.

So sorry to hear of the news of Carr’s passing. My deepest sympathy goes out to Miriam and Cindy, as well as other family members. Carr was a big supporter of Grizzly Basketball and I got to know him during my several seasons of broadcasting the games on the radio. Carr and my late father played golf a few times in the Grizzly Golf Tourney and always had a terrific time. The good memories will always live on.
