Archie Andrew Ramsey

Archie Andrew Ramsey, 81, West Plains, Missouri, died at 8:04 p.m., Friday, March 16, 2012, at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, Missouri.  He was born June 29, 1930, at Knoxville, Tennessee, to Noah and Delcey Biggs Ramsey.  On October 28, 1980, he was married at Kansas City, Missouri, to Wanda Maynard.  Mr. Ramsey was a veteran having served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and before his retirement, was a diesel mechanic. Mr. Ramsey was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Ramsey, of the family home; seven children, Laron Ramsey, Phillip Ramsey, Andrew Ramsey, Timothy Ramsey, Valerie Ramsey, Cindy Phillips and Nicholas Thorp; many grandchildren; one brother, William D. Ramsey, Cole Camp, Missouri; one sister, Louise Long, Knoxville, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, one son, Rodney, three brothers and two sisters, precede him in death.
