Oscar Lee Rader
Graveside services for Oscar Lee Rader, 80, West Plains, Missouri will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2015, at Willow Springs City Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Rader died at 2:26 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2015, at his daughter’s home.
He was born September 29, 1934, at Willow Springs, Missouri, to John Harvey Rader and Ruby Benton Rader. Mr. Rader was a veteran, having served with the United States Army. On November 9, 1959, he was married in the State of Michigan, to Edna Rose Ostrander, who preceded him in death on February 6, 2014. Before his retirement, he was employed with Missouri Department of Transportation. Mr. Rader was a member of the Willow Springs Auxiliary Police Department, was an EMT and a Ham Operator with the call number of WAOPPO.
He is survived by six children, Gerald Summers, Clarksville, Arkansas, Steve Rader, wife, Patsy, Mountain View, Missouri, Riley Rader, wife, Melody, Camdenton, Missouri, Robin Moore, husband, Charlie, Pomona, Missouri, Chuck Rader, West Plains, Missouri and Scotty Rader, West Plains, Missouri; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Hammond, husband, Bill, West Plains, Missouri and Sue Stewart, Willow Springs, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; and many other family members.
His parents, wife, one daughter, Carolyn Collins, son-in-law, Bim Collins, one sister, Lola Mae and three brothers, Tom, Elwood and Bill, precede him in death.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Sunday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverways Hospice or Shaw Cancer Treatment Center of Ozarks Medical Center, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
