George Milton Austin
George Milton Austin, of West Plains, Missouri, died the 9th of April, 2012, at his home. George was born the 13th of March, 1954 at Boswell, Indiana, the son of William and Florence Bell (Brady) Austin and the grandson of George and Lottie (Wiley) Austin, and George Milton and Opal Irene (Lashbrook) Brady, all deceased.
George was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints on the 26th of November 2011 and was an anxious learner of the Gospel. George had battled liver damage for several years, and in February of 2012 was told he had liver cancer. He had made his peace with his Heavenly Father. George worked farms and dairies all his life until he moved to West Plains in 2006.
He is survived by his wife, of 15 years, Deborah Lynn (Flikeid) Austin of West Plains, Missouri; a son, Kenneth Darrell Austin and a daughter, Meranda Lynn Baker and two grandchildren, all of Florida; a step-son, Thomas David Hubert and step-daughter, Tonya Lynnette (Donner) Garza, grandson, Austin Garza, and granddaughter, Alexandrea Garza, all of Arkansas; also, brothers, William (Butch) Austin and Gregory Austin of Illinois; sisters, Donna Tobeck and Debbie Brown, both of Watseka, Illinois and Vicki Eheart of North Carolina. George is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews and many good friends.
One sister, Linda Lester, preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, the 11th of April, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints on Christie Drive in West Plains.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help with family expenses, in George Milton Austin’s name and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, Missouri 65775.

George always had a kind, soft heart. I pray I will see him again. I love you George, and have missed many years that are now lost, but memories that will not be forgotten. Your sis, Vickie
