Edna May Conrad

Funeral services for Edna May Conrad, 90, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2015, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Conrad died at 5:55 a.m., Sunday, May 17, 2015, at West Vue Nursing Center.

She was born December 16, 1924, in Izard County, Arkansas, to Cecil Anderson Jones and Hattie Maude Cliff Jones.  On April 7, 1949, she was married in Howell County, Missouri, to Edward Bell, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1974.  On May 6, 1977, she was married at Oakland, Michigan, to Lester Conrad, who preceded her in death on December 3, 1992.  Mrs. Conrad enjoyed puzzles and loved going to church and gospel music.  She had no children of her own, but she partly raised two very special nieces, Rosalee Tharp and Melinda Peel.  Mrs. Conrad was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle.

She is survived by one sister, Eva Sams, husband, Floyd; four half-sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husbands, one infant daughter, Cathern May Bell, three brothers, three sisters and two half-brothers, precede her in death.

Mrs. Conrad will lie in state from 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Gideon Bible Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
