Jackie Lee Burkhart
Funeral services for Jackie Lee Burkhart, 78, West Plains, Missouri, will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Burkhart died at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at his home. He was born June 11, 1933, at West Plains, Missouri, to Jack Ambrose and Lillie Rosalia Seyfert Burkhart. On October 4, 1956, he was married at Miami, Oklahoma, to Mildred Marie Anderson, who preceded him in death on May 18, 2011. Mr. Burkhart was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Before his retirement, Mr. Burkhart had been employed with International Shoe Factory. He enjoyed nature, gardening and lawn work. Mr. Burkhart was of the Southern Baptist faith.
He is survived by two children, Alan Burkhart, wife, Phillis, West Plains, Missouri, and Michael Burkhart, wife, Lisa, Mountain Home, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Lyndsay Burkhart, Garrett Burkhart and Melissa Burkhart; one great-grandchild; one brother, Royce Burkhart, Elgin, Illinois; and one sister, Jessie Ziolkowski, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
His parents, wife, three brothers, Charles, Johnny and George Burkhart, two sisters, Kathryn Amman and Helen Eckert, and one half- brother, Herman Quick, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to United Way, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
