James Omera (J.O.) Moss
Funeral services for James Omera (J.O.) Moss, 91, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Moss died at 8:17 a.m., Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Ozarks Medical Center. He was born February 18, 1924 at Salem, Arkansas to Franklin Moss and Cora Caruthers Moss. On July 4, 1946, Mr. Moss was married at Salem, Arkansas to Effie Lou Willard. He was a veteran having served with the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Moss was a long time farmer in the West Plains area; he enjoyed being a farmer and was avid hunter. He was a member and Deacon of the First Freewill Baptist Church, West Plains.
He is survived by his wife, Effie Lou Moss, of the family home; three children, Beverly Hall, West Plains, Missouri, Alvin Moss, wife, Millie, Mountain Home, Arkansas and Aleeta Eberle, husband, Kevin, West Plains, Missouri; six grandchildren, Nathan Moss, wife, Khara, Kimberly Clinton, husband, Gary Clinton, II, Bryan Webers, wife, Rene, Amanda Hall, Jennifer Stafford, husband, Matt Mihalevich and Sarah Moad, husband, Dustin; eleven great-grandchildren, Ethan and Brody Moss, Gary Clinton, III, Alexis, Aubrey, and Brooklyn Webers, Makenna Hall, Emily and Brandon Stafford, Patience and Jack Moad; sister-in-law, Evelyn Willard Daffron, husband, David; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
His parents, three sisters, Delphia Kennedy, Della Allen and Vida Vickroy and one brother, Olan Moss, precede him in death.
Mr. Moss will lie in state from 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 29th, until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mt. Calm Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon Bible Society or First Freewill Baptist Church Camp Fund and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

J.O. was my neighbor behind me for 28 yrs. I couldn’t have asked for a better neighbor. When I would be walking the fence row, I found out he had put in new fence,post and such. I called him asking what my part was. he said not a thing my dear. I made sure I put it on me, that way it is J.O.’s bill. I said, “we”, I will still pay my share. ” he laughed and said again. No charge!!!
Wonderful man. I know he is up in Heaven with my daddy, Lloyd Bray telling stories and laughing away. God Bless J.O.

Sister Moss: I just now learned about J O’s death. You certainly have our prayers. I sure enjoyed the times I had opportunity to visit with J O . Sure thought a lot of him.
