We are so sorry for your loss, but what a blessing to know that he is safe with the Lord now!! They truly were the “greatest generation” and I so grieve to see them go, though I know that we are the ones who feel the loss, not them, for they are in Heaven now. Love and prayers to the family and friends.

I have known John and Goldie all my life. They were Christians and set the right example for all of us to follow. My sympathy goes out to his wife, Goldie, andf all his children and grandchildren. May God bless you all!

All of us that knew or met him will never forget his smile and laugh. Over 30 years time I can never remember seeing him without a smile. Prayers and comfort for you all.

I am so sorry to hear of your precious loss. And, I have to agree with Alice, sadly we are losing one of the “greatest generations” this world has known. Know that there is no better place to be than in the arms of Jesus, and I am sure, that is exactly where he is, smiling from ear to ear. Know that my prayers are with you. May God bless and comfort each of you, Barbara

One of the finest men I’ve had the pleasure of serving. I always looked forward to Thursday when Connie would bring Mr Eagleman and his lovely wife into my restaurant. I have celebrated the past few anniversaries with them and was looking forward to celebrating number 69 with them. I would always joke with him that she kept him around another week!
He will be missed by all of us. My deepest sympathy to the family. Stacey Johnson and The Fish Shack gang.

My thoughts and prayers have been with you and your families since I read this in the Quill.
Living out of state–mail service is sometimes slow.
I am sure that there are many fond memories that you have treasured of your parents and family. Please forward them on to your children and grandchildren by writing them down now while they are still fresh. Spend a few minutes with your parents every day. They are still looking down and over your shoulders every day.
