Doyle Wake
Graveside services for Almo J. “Doyle” Wake, 73, Willow Springs, Missouri, will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Wake died at 7:05 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at his home. He was born July 18, 1938, at Willow Springs, Missouri, to Manuel and Rosie Collins Wake. On March 8, 1976, he was married at Cabool, Missouri, to Linda Thornton. Mr. Wake was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He worked as a machinist and later in life was a business owner, having a gun and pawn shop. Mr. Wake loved bluegrass music and enjoyed playing with many groups at benefits. He was a hero to his wife, children, grandchildren and brothers and will be missed. Mr. Wake was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Wake, of the family home; seven children, Randy Wake, wife, Mary, Peoria, Arizona, Brian Hoyle, wife, Jeannie, West Plains, Missouri, Tilithia Labadie, husband, Kenny, Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Brian Wake, wife, Patty, Youngstown, Arizona, Matthew Wake, Willow Springs, Missouri, Marvin Wake, wife, Carolyn, Pomona, Missouri and Richard Sawyer, wife, Martha, Pasadena, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five brothers, Ernest Wake, wife, Mabel, Lonnie Wake, Dale Wake, Leroy Wake, wife, Joan and Jim Wake, wife, Jeannie, all of Cabool, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents, two sisters, Julie Moore and Berniece Wake and one brother, Steven Wake, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
