James Wetzel
Graveside services for James Herman Wetzel, 76, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the South Fork Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Wetzel died 8:53 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016 at NHC HealthCare, West Plains. He was born September 19, 1940 at West Plains, Missouri to Loren Bascom Wetzel and Delphia Florence Phenix Wetzel. On June 14, 1959, Mr. Wetzel was married at West Plains, Missouri to Lola Gilbert. He worked in West Plains, Missouri for several years, then went to Illinois and worked for Del Monte Corporation until the plant closed. Mr. Wetzel then worked for Sarah Lee Corporation in Georgia and before he became disabled in 1998, worked for FMC Transport in Willow Springs, Missouri. He loved hunting and fishing and his family. Mr. Wetzel was a member of the Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Lola Wetzel, of the family home; three children, Judith Turner, husband, Mike, Mt. Morris, Illinois, James David Wetzel, wife, Brenda, Rochelle,, Illinois and Jerry Dean Wetzel, wife, Angela, Jacksonville, Florida; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Glenda Adkisson, husband, L.R., West Plains, Missouri, Ina Stevens Lee, Nevada, Missouri and Betty Ingle, husband, Kenneth, Marysville, California; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, three sisters, Lucy Smith, Donna Offitt and Lola Wetzel, and two brothers, Loren and Richard Wetzel, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 3rd, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Wetzel will be greatly missed. He was a kind and gentle man. My heart goes out to Lola and Family.
He was so kind to all people and animals He even spoiled our animals
I remember the little fawns the he could feed from his hand.
