Glenda Mae Hampton
Funeral services for Glenda Mae Hampton, 81, of West Plains, Missouri, were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 9, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home with interment in Howell Valley Cemetery under the di rection of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hampton died at 5:30 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2012, at Ozarks Medical Center. She was born December 27, 1930, at Myrtle, Missouri to the late Herschel Jefferson Dunkin and Alma Leota Ary Dunkin. On March 19, 1951, she was married at Salem, Arkansas to William Francis Hampton, who preceded her in death on April 14, 2004. Mrs. Hampton was a homemaker and enjoyed making quilts, cooking for and being with her family. She also enjoyed being at church and was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle Church.
She is survived by four children, Katherine Brauch, St. Louis, Missouri, Sharon Judd, husband, Danny, West Plains, Missouri, Michael Hampton, wife, Jennifer, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Pam Hiles, husband, Dale, Villa Hills, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hanford Dunkin, wife, Freda and Howard Dunkin, wife, Nancy; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, two brothers, Donald Dunkin and Vernon Dunkin and one sister, Maxine Menendez, precede her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
