Betty Lou McThompson
Graveside services for Betty Lou McThompson, 86, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. McThompson passed away at 1:17 a.m., Thursday, August 17, 2017 at her home.
She was born January 12, 1931, in Howell County, Missouri, to Cleve Carter and Amelia Nolte Carter. On May 28, 1948, she was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Harry Franklin McThompson, who preceded her in death on December 26, 2003. Mrs. McThompson worked at International Shoe Factory for twenty-three years. She loved her church family and helping her neighbors. Mrs. McThompson was a member of First Baptist Church for more than fifty years.
She is survived by two sons, Alan McThompson and wife, Lou and David McThompson and wife, Elaine; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Sharon Callahan and husband, Lewis, Dorothy Rhine and husband, Floyd, Midge Carter and Betty Green and husband, Kenneth; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Her parents, step-mother, Aileen Heath Carter Bentley, husband, one grandson, two great-grandchildren, one sister, two brothers and two brothers-in-law, preceded her in death.
Mrs. McThompson will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Saturday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon Bible Society and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

I’m sorry for your loss. All I ever saw in her was beauty. She was nice, cordial, warm, and passed on the gentle smile that put people at ease. God bless you as you sort through all the emotions, sharing her life.

To Alan and David, We are sorry for your loss. We would see her about every Sunday at church, and we seemed to always get together to say hi or to just visit. Your mom will be missed.

I remember Betty from my childhood years. Momma and Daddy always loved her and Harry
. Of course they included myself and my brothers in loving them too. What an awesome testimony to Christ her life was. I am so sorry for your loss but we all know she is walking with Jesus in heaven now. My prayers are with you at this time.
