Elener Arlene Maine

Graveside services for Elener Arlene Maine, 89, Bakersfield, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Udall, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Maine passed away at 8:05 p.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017 at South Fork River Therapy and Living, Salem, Arkansas.

She was born June 22, 1928, at Almartha, Missouri, to Ewing Fry and Maudie Hammons Fry.  Elener graduated from Emmitt High School, Emmitt, Idaho.  On May 28, 1948, she was married at Boise, Idaho, to Harold LeRoy Maine, who preceded her in death on November 20, 1998.  Mrs. Maine worked at various factories; she retired from Baxter Laboratories in 1991, after twenty-one years of service.  After retirement, she enjoyed her family, traveling and dancing.

She is survived by five children, Harold L. Maine, Jr., and wife, Hope, Chrystina Johnston and husband, Freddy, Phillip Maine and wife, Bennie, James Maine and Elnona Hall and husband, Richard; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one brother; two sisters; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, her husband of fifty years, Harold L. Maine, several little angels in God’s loving hands, one daughter-in-law, Patty Maine, one sister, two brothers, and her partner of eighteen years, Robert McCord, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Maine will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
