Nita West
Graveside services for Laura Juanita West, 93, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Oak Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. West passed away at 4:12 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2019 at West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born May 25, 1925, at West Plains, Missouri, to William “Henry” McCandless and Dora Macie Freeman McCandless. On May 23, 1942, she was married at West Plains, to David Scott “Red” West, who preceded her in death on April 7, 1998. Before her retirement, Mrs. West worked as a clerk at Richards Bros. Feed Mill. She was a Christian.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna Trainor, Willard, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Ruth Ann Edwards, West Plains, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, two children and five sisters, preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
