My wife and I have an interesting story to share with you about your Mom and Grandmother. We were new to the West Plains Country Club in the early 90s and came across Alvada. She saw my Iowa hat. She asked me if I knew what Iowa meant. She went on to tell us we were just “Idiots Out Walking Around”. Thus began a good-natured perpetually bantering relationship whenever we saw one another. She was a pistol, and deeply devoted to her husband until his death.
My condolences to your entire family. We will miss a colorful old school woman who always kept us in check!
