My condolences.
Some fond memories I’d like to share: besides all the yummy foods made from scratch that Aunt Anne made (like her incredible grape-crabapple jelly), I will remember her laughter (especially playing Nertz), beautiful quilts, and her long-lasting friendship with my Mom. Thank you, Aunt Anne.
With love, Rebecca.

Kris and Anita, and family,
Our most sincere sympathies on the loss of Kris’s mother. It is never easy to lose a parent but take comfort in knowing she lived a life of service, one filled with the love of her family and the respect and gratitude of her peers.

I am so sorry that I will be unable to attend Aunt Anne’s Memorial Service. I was saddened to hear of her passing, but what a legacy she has left – just look at that wonderful family. I have distinct memories of visiting she and Uncle Max in Platteville back in the 70’s before we moved from Decatur to Memphis. I can picture the beautiful home and lawn. Uncle Max ALWAYS made me laugh – she had to be special to tolerate him! Ha. Stacie and I send our sincerest sympathies to Mike, Kris, Kelly, and Kathy as well as the rest of the family. Your mom was a dear, loving, Christlike woman who left a lasting impression on me. She will be missed greatly. Much love, Scott, Stacie, Landon, Benjamin, Braden, and Morgan Shappard (Boise, Idaho)

The Missouri State University – West Plains Nursing Program would like to sincerely thank Anne and the Bottrell family for setting up the memorial fund nursing scholarship and all of Anne’s family and friends who made contributions to it. As Director of the MSU-WP Nursing Program, I can assure you that this scholarship will ensure that one of our dedicated students is able to achieve their dream of becoming a nurse. I also attend First United Methodist Church in West Plains and had I known that Anne was planning on such a magnamimous gesture for our nursing program, I would have gone up and given her a big hug! Thank you all so much!
