Arthur Houston Bell
A memorial service will be held at a later date for Arthur Houston Bell, 76, West Plains, Missouri.
Mr. Bell passed away at 8:13 a.m., Friday, November 27, 2015 at his home.
He was born September 4, 1939, in the State of Oklahoma, to Oscar Bell and Edna Grisham Bell. He graduated from Willow Springs High School and was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy, Army Reserves and National Guard. On September 4, 2003, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to De-An Luke. Mr. Bell was a radio announcer for KWPM. He enjoyed playing bluegrass music and played with several bluegrass bands, including New River Grass, Lost River and Hard Times. Mr. Bell was a Christian.
He is survived by his wife, DeAn Bell; four step-children, Laurie Taylor, Wendie Hood and husband, Johnny, James Reeves and Cherie DuPuis; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emmalee Flake and Sara Ellen Collins; and many nieces and nephews, including Jim Bell.
His parents and two brothers, Melvin and Elmo Bell, precede him in death.
Arrangements under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

We are so sorry for the loss of your loved one. I worked with Art many years ago at KWPM and enjoyed his company, as well as his music. He was one of those who helped establish the HOBA bluegrass park in West Plains years ago. May your memories and God’s grace sustain you.
