Arthur Leroy Smith

A visitation for Arthur Leroy Smith, 86, West Plains, Missouri, will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith died 11:03 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2013 at NHC HealthCare. He was born May 13, 1927 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the son of Fred Smith and Lucy Crittenden Smith. Mr. Smith was a veteran having served with the United States Navy and the South Dakota Army National Guard. Before his retirement, he was employed with General Motors, Fisher body Department, Willow Springs, Illinois.

He is survived by two daughters, Lee Lang and Renee Smith; five grandchildren, Adam Lang, Bryce Lang, Crystal Miller, husband, Robert, Zachary Carrell and Chance Carrell; two great-grandchildren, Kaylie Blazek and Matthew Lang; and Randy Tschetter, Robert Tschetter and Raymond Tschett, whom he helped raise.

His parents, wife, Joan, son, Martin Smith and one infant son, precede him in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
