Barbara Jean Mosher Woody
A Memorial service for Barbara Jean Mosher Woody, 80, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Central Church of Christ.
Mrs. Woody died at 1:06 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born December 8, 1932, at Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Arthur Virgil Mosher and Carrie Belle Patterson Mosher. On June 19, 1953, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to James Edward Woody, Sr., the love of her life. To this union five children were born. Mrs. Woody was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a homemaker and spent many years as a babysitter. She enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren. Mrs. Woody was a Christian and a member of the Central Church of Christ.
She is survived by three children, William Woody, Deborah DeSisso and husband, Kenneth, and Juanita Upton and husband, Mike, all of West Plains, Missouri; one son-in-law, Kenneth Shoemake, Raytown, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one son, James Edward Woody, Jr., one daughter, Tammie Lynn Woody, one son-in-law, Eddie Stiner and two sisters, precede her in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to Paragould Children’s Home or Shriner’s Hospital, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

She was a friend and mother to me growing up in west plains. I will always remember the hugs and smiles. She will be missed greatly by me . Love Carol

I just saw where Barbara passed on to The Lord. I’m sorry for your losses in the past two or more years. I love you all very much. May God bless you and keep you. Atha
