Ben Edward Adams
A Celebration of Life for Ben Edward Adams, 88, West Plains, Missouri, will be from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the North Campus of the First Baptist Church, 204 East Main, West Plains, Missouri.
Mr. Adams died 12:20 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Brooke Haven Health Care. He was born November 5, 1923 at West Plains, Missouri to Roy H. Adams and Nancy M. Richardson Adams. On November 4, 1944, he was married at Kansas City, Kansas to Velma Winona Baker who preceded him in death on December 31, 2005. Mr. Adams was a veteran having served with the United States Navy during World War II. Before his retirement, Mr. Adams was a trucker. He was a Christian.
He is survived by three daughters, Merle L. Scott, husband, Trey, Gainesville, Missouri, Brenda K. Warren, husband, Michael, West Plains, Missouri and Diana L. Etheridge, West Plains, Missouri; twelve grandchildren;; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great grandchildren on the way; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law, Olene Adams, West Plains, Missouri and Clarita Baker, Barstow, California; two nieces; and two nephews.
His parents, wife, two daughters, Nancy Bailey and Gaylene Anne Adams. one grandson, one great-granddaughter, and two brothers, Glenn Roy Adams and Joe C. Adams, precede him in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Charity of Choice and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home
