I was blessed to have met Mrs. Spotts (Bernice). She was truly a special lady full of love & kindness. I was staying with my mother in the hospital when Mrs. Spotts became a patient in the next bed. We spent many hours talking, reminessing & talking about ours lives. She was so proud of her family & I understood why when meeting each of you. I feel like I know you each personally after hearing you life stories. I shared many good moments & memories with your mom or grandmother. I held her hand & hugged her many times throughout thoses days and nights. Life changes quickly, without warning, but I will always remember her sweet voice as she would call me “Honey”. I know she is in a better place & she told me she was ready to go. I know she is with her beloved daughter, Elaine. My thoughts & prayers were & are with your family who lost such a great matriarch as Bernice. My mother is still struggling to survive as I spend every moment I can with her-I only hope & pray some day she can tell me “I’m ready” as your mom did. Such a calming peace takes over from that moment on. Hugs & prayers be with you- My life has been touched in such a beautiful way- Thanks Mrs. Spotts !!
