Bertha Eunice Epley Collins

Funeral services for Bertha Eunice Epley Collins, 96, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Bertha Collins, daughter of the late Hurvel and Jessie Driskell Epley, was born on September 9, 1920 in Ozark County, Missouri and died May 28, 2017 in West Plains, Missouri.  On November 22, 1938, she was united in marriage to Leemon Collins who preceded her in death on December 19, 1994.

She is survived by her children, Juanita Cobb and husband, Dwayne, West Plains, Leroy Collins and wife, Linda, Dora, Missouri, and Gary Lee Collins and wife, Nancy, Dora, Missouri; six grandchildren, Sandy Cobb Roberts and husband, Greg, West Plains, Doug Collins and wife, Tammy, Scott Collins and wife, Retta, Shana Hambelton and husband, Shawn, Renee Collins and Lindsay Collins, all of Dora, Missouri; thirteen great-grandchildren, Abbey (Ross), Maddi, Sydney, Keena (Joey), Dakota (Langley), Kylie, Latham, Derik (Alex), Dillon (Molly), Riley, Davin, Kaitlin, and Shanea (Michael); seven great-great-grandchildren, Jasmyn, Kynslee, Kolt, Kansys, Titus, Leroy, and Dwight; one brother, Don Epley, Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Lorena Freeman, Omaha, Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Ella Dobbs and Ethel Collins, two brothers, Roy Epley and Windell Epley and one grandson, Gregory Dwayne Cobb.

Mrs. Collins worked on the farm with her husband most of her life. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and was a wonderful cook; her greatest joy was her family. Mrs. Collins loved the Lord and was a member of the Church of God. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 1st, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon Bible Society and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
