Billy Donis Turner
Funeral services for Billy Donis Turner, 80, Bakersfield, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 28, 2015 at Bakersfield Full Gospel Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Turner died at 4:30 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015 at his home.
He was born March 2, 1935, at Bakersfield, Missouri, to John Howard Turner and Laura Elizabeth Davidson Turner Johnson. On February 23, 1980, he was married at Independence, Missouri, to Peggy Perkins. Mr. Turner was a veteran, having served with the United States Army. He lived in the Kansas City area for thirty-eight years while working at Montgomery Ward. He was an excellent woodworker and enjoyed making things for his home. Mr. Turner was a member of Bakersfield Full Gospel Church.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Turner, of the family home; three children, Cynthia Gail Turner, Mountain Home, Arkansas, Tracy Annette Wilburn, Gamaliel Arkansas and Ronald Mark Turner, Quinton, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Brian Allen Wilburn, Jon Howard Phillips, Christopher Wilson Wilburn, Alisha Dawn Wilburn, Jason Thomas Maher, David Anthony Turner and Kaycee Turner; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Hall, Alexis Rae Maher and Braydon Turner; one sister, Sue Evans, Bakersfield, Missouri; one niece and five nephews.
His parents, one sister, Louetta Parks and one infant sister, Anna, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Hawkins Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hawkins Ridge Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
