Billy Joe Fore
Funeral services for Billy Joe Fore, 82, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Fore died at 4:04 p.m., Sunday, September 20, 2015 at West Vue Nursing Center.
He was born October 1, 1932, in Howell County, Missouri, to William Pete Fore and Faye J. Hughes Fore. On October 11, 1953, he was married at St. Louis, Missouri, to Donna Lois Horn, who preceded him in death on September 7, 2011. Mr. Fore was a veteran, having served with the United States Army. He was a carpenter and assistant foreman at International Shoe Factory. He enjoyed fishing and loved taking care of his cattle. Mr. Fore was a Christian and was an ordained Deacon in the Southern Baptist faith.
He is survived by two children, Sue Harris, husband, Steve and Gary Fore, wife, Cappy; five grandchildren, Christina Summers, husband, Nathan, Billie Jean Welch, husband, Joshua, Dustin Fore, wife Sandra, Tonia Lundry, husband, Josh and Nathan Fore, wife, Gavonna; eight great-grandchildren, Ace, Savannah, Riley, Jade, Austin, Alex, Gracie and Shelby; two sisters, Frankie Tyree and Vadna Bench, husband, Floyd, Jr.; one sister-in-law, Shirley Arnold, husband, Bob; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, wife, one grandson, James Michael, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Grover and Gladys Horn; and three brothers-in-law, Eldon Tyree, Bill Horn and Gene Horn, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fore Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Fore Cemetery or Gideon Bible Society and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
