Bobby Dean Harris
Funeral services for Bobby Dean Harris, 77, Pottersville, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Harris passed away at 10:06 a.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at his home.
He was born June 28, 1941, in Howell County, Missouri, to Anderson Harris and Helen Ruth Walton Harris. Bob graduated from Bakersfield High School with the Class of 1959. On June 29, 1960, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Hazel Summers. Before his retirement, Bob worked as a maintenance foreman at Amyx Manufacturing. He loved his kids and grandkids and enjoyed roller-skating with the grandkids, gardening, raising tomatoes and traveling–he had seen over 40 states. Mr. Harris was baptized in October of 1965 and was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Hazel Harris, of the family home; two children, Velvet DeBoard, West Plains and Bobby Harris and wife, Angie, Walnut Shade, Missouri; four grandchildren, Heath DeBoard, and wife, Vanessa, Rachel Harris, Trey Harris and Leah Harris; four great-grandchildren, Devin, Anna, Owen and Agnes; one brother, George Harris and wife, Marsha, Pottersville, Missouri; four sisters, his twin, Shirley Sims, Merced, California, Roselle Robinson and husband, Bill, Filer, Idaho, Maxine Mullen, Filer, Idaho and Linda Rhoads, West Plains; sister-in-law, Alice Harris, Caulfield, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Lesa Harris; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, son-in-law, Danny DeBoard, two brothers, Dale Harris and Don Harris, one sister, Bonnie Ruth Truman and her son and two nieces, Carolyn Harris and Beth Ann Summers, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pottersville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Beth Ann Summers and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Hazel and Family,
Our families have know each other for years; many great memories, much laughter and happy times have been spent with you all. I will miss Bobby’s sweet smile and laughter. He was a wonderful Christian man who loved everyone he met. So much love to you all right now during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
