Bubba Tackitt
Graveside services for Vernon Marvin Tackitt, 59, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2017 at Elijah Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Tackitt passed away at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his home.
He was born May 5, 1958, at West Plains, Missouri, to Marvin Mearl Tackitt and Bonnie Joan Hensley Tackitt. Bubba worked at Cloud 9 Ranch. He was a gentle giant and enjoyed collecting antiques; it brought him joy to give special gifts to family and friends. He loved children and they called him “Poppy”.
He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Tackitt, Caulfield, Missouri; two brothers, Ronnie Tackitt, Caulfield, Missouri and Quentin Tackitt, West Plains; two sisters, Vicky Baumgart and husband, Greg, Springfield, Missouri and Misty Tackitt, West Plains; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bridget Hilbrick and Doug Stewart.
His father and one brother, Monte Tackitt, precede him in death.

All my love and prayers for you all. Bub was a very special person and some of my earliest memories are of playing with Bub and Vicky. He never failed to have a smile and a hug whenever we met and his beautiful heart was always open. He will be missed by everyone. I love you all.

So very sorry to hear of this news. Bub was a very special man to those that knew him. The whole Tackitt family is in my prayers at this very sudden loss. So sorry. Love you all
