Buddy Carter
Funeral services for Buddy Carter, 85, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Clear Springs Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Carter passed away at 11:05 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2017 at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born January 14, 1932, at Sycamore, Missouri, to Milo and Mellie Warren Carter. On August 27, 1956, he was married at Mendota, Mississippi, to Wanda Loretta Smith, who preceded him in death May 13, 2004. Mr. Carter was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy on the USS St. Paul during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement, he worked at the International Shoe Factory and was a Taxidermist; he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Mr. Carter was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by one son, Doug Carter and wife, Denise; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and two on the way; and several special friends.
His parents, wife, one son, David Allen Carter and eleven brothers and sisters, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Clear Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Larry and I have known Buddy for years. We are so very sorry for your loss. My sister Brenda and I have been playing Bingo with him at the Senior Center on Friday’s. We have heard many stories, about his grandkids and kids. He was so very proud of all of you. Praying for your family.

Always remeber Buddy from when run the the bait shop on 160 since the 60’s.
