Carl L. Roberson
Funeral services for Carl L. Roberson, 81, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Roberson passed away at 4:35 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2016 at NHC Healthcare.
He was born January 9, 1935, at Beach Grove, Arkansas, to Jesse James and Aris Copeland Roberson. He was united in marriage to Wanda Sanders on January 23, 1953; they celebrated their 63rd Anniversary this year. To this union, three daughters were born: Donna Jean, Lenora June, and Patricia Ann. Carl was a Christian, was baptized April 13, 1986, served on the board for fourteen years at Township Line Church and currently attended United Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed his little farm, cattle and horses. Carl loved to hunt and started his grandsons out deer and squirrel hunting and watching them shoot. He also enjoyed having a place for family reunions each year. Carl spent a lot of time with his friend, Randy Crawford, hunting and having coffee in the afternoons. He retired from Hiland Dairy after thirty-five years in the dairy business.
He is survived by his wife Wanda, of the family home; three daughters Donna Williams and husband, R.C., Little River, Texas, Lenora Martin and husband, Jerry, West Plains and Patty Wood and husband, Kevin, West Plains; three grandsons, Kenneth Martin and wife Amber, Lance Williams and wife, Jordan and Benjamin Charles; two granddaughters, Amanda Hulsey and husband, Brian and Kristie Crow and husband, Cameron; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way; three step-grandchildren, Jennifer Coursey and husband, Justin, Brandi Bell and husband, Micco and Brennen Wood; five step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Faye Spoor, Kemp, Texas; one brother, Jerry Roberson and wife Wanda, Eustace, Texas; brother in law, Eddie Sanders and wife, Donna, Springfield, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Roberson, Raymore, Missouri and Vera Sanders, West Plains; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, six brothers, Eldon, Melvin, Earl, Burl, Wayne and Alten, four sisters, Eunice Koelling, Bernice Fossett, Villie Barnes and Merle Driver, five brothers-in-law, Art Koelling, Duane Driver, Dick Sheffield, Leon Sanders and R.W. Pierce and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Albert and Chloa Sanders, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

April 4th was a sad day. One of the best people I knew left this earth. The sadness is for our loss but their is joy in knowing that he is not hurting and with long lost family. Prayers for the Roberson family.

Lenora and family. So sorry for your lose. I know 1st hand what you are going through. As you know I lost my dad 17 1/2 yrs ago. Some days it seem like he has been gone forever, then others like it happened this morning. Just know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Your sister by heart.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy for your great loss. I loved and enjoyed his fellowship and kindness. When we were at township line church, we were a family and Carl and Wanda always made David and I feel special. I praise God for that time. Love you all . Praying Gods comfort upon ya’ll.
