Carolyn McLain
Funeral services for Annalou “Carolyn” McLain, 75, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 5, 2016 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. McLain passed away at 5:09 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at her home.
She was born February 6, 1940, at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, to Troy Whiteside and Mattie Mae Hayes Whiteside. Before her retirement, Mrs. McLain worked as a caseworker at Missouri Division of Family Services. She loved her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister; she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and flower gardens. Mrs. McLain was a member of West 160 Church of Christ.
She is survived by three children, Andy McLain and wife, Bobbie, Mark McLain and wife, Nancy and Lynn Tackitt and husband, Michael; seven grandchildren, Katie, R. J., Madi, Tate, Sydney, Jakob and Maggie; three brothers, Dean Whiteside and wife, Pat, Marland Whiteside and wife, Mary Anna and Richard Whiteside and wife, Donna; three sisters, Betty Hartle, Fern Tackitt and husband, Bob and Elaine Durham and husband, Tilman; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and one son, James Preston McLain precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the OMC Cancer Treatment Center Expansion “Nurturing Hope” and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

So sorry for your loss. “Grandma Caroline” will be greatly missed. She made everyone she met feel like they were her own. She has a wonderful family that will continue her legacy of giving and kindness .

Carolyn will be greatly missed. She was a beautiful person. Know that she is in the arms of Jesus, and there is absolutely, NO better place to be. May God bless each of you with comfort and peace.

So sorry for your loss. My mother, Gwenoth, also died of cancer and I know the difficulties you must have gone through and how much you will miss Carolyn. Praying for you all.
