Funeral services for Billie Pearl Henry, 86, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Henry died 11:25 a.m., Monday, September 5, 2016 at West Vue Nursing Center. She was born November 4, 1929 at Sulphur Springs, Texas to J. R. Beck and Bonnie Faye Spangler Beck. On September 5, 1951, she was married at Dallas, Texas to Harold Dale Henry who preceded her in death on June 9, 2010. Mrs. Henry enjoyed cooking, crocheting, her flower garden which included roses and the out of doors. She loved her family and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Henry was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Plains.
She is survived by six children, Brenda Majors, husband, William, St. Peters, Missouri, Karen Novacek, husband, David, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, Dale Henry, Bozeman, Montana, Robert Henry, wife, Shar, Ozark, Missouri, Bonita Lowe, husband, Michael, West Plains, Missouri and Glenn Henry, wife, Donna, Moody, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren on the way; two brothers, Jerrel Beck, wife, Patsy, Garland, Texas and Kenneth Beck, wife, Janice, Nacogdoches, Texas; two sisters, Joy Sullivan,husband, Charles, Mt. Pleasant, Texas and Martha Heard, husband, Gerald, Sulphur Springs, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
He parents, husband, one son, James Henry and three brothers, Wayne, James and Roy, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until service time, Saturday, September 10th, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Vernon B. Hansen, 93, West Plains, Missouri, died 5:20 p.m., Saturday, September 3, 2016 at his home in West Plains.
Mr. Hansen was born July 8, 1923 at Oak Park, Illinois to John B. Hansen and Karen A. Andreason Hansen. In August of 1944, he was married to Nora Clements who preceded him in death. On March 8, 1975, Mr. Hansen was married at Montgomery, Illinois to Cleda Strohkirch. Mr. Hansen was a veteran having served with the United States Army. He was a commercial carpenter; was a member of the Carpenter’s Local 558 of Chicago, Illinois for sixty-two years and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Hansen, along with his wife, Cleda, moved to West Plains, Missouri thirty-two years ago. He was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church of West Plains where he worked for eighteen years after his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Cleda Hansen, of the family home; three children, Dr. Robert G. Hansen, wife, Sandra, Woodruff, South Carolina, Janet K. Silvernail, husband, Bruce, Grace, Idaho and Leslie B. Hansen, wife, Cathy, Friendswood, Texas; step-daughter, Sharon Ansel, husband, Raymond, Soldotna, Alaska; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; fifteen step great-grandchildren; eight step great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Eugene Hansen, Fillmore, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, first wife, step-son, Skip Royer, one great-great-grandchild; four brothers, John, Harold, Leslie and Arthur, and two sisters, Mary and Eleanor, precede him in death.

Funeral services for Linda Marie McBride, 59, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. McBride died 7:26 p.m., Saturday, September 3, 2016 at her home. She was born July 11, 1957 to Luther Davidson and Allie Provow Davidson. She graduated from the West Plains High School with the Class of 1975 and on August 8, 1980 was married at West Plains, Missouri to Jim McBride. Mrs. McBride had been employed at the Junction Hill School. She was a Christian.

She is survived by her husband, Jim McBride, of the family home; three sons, Travis McBride, wife, Erin, Jason McBride, wife, Sarah and Danny McBride, wife, Dessa, all of West Plains, Missouri; four grandchildren, Addalynn, Jaylee, Cailyn and Liam; one brother, Arnold Davidson, wife, KyongCha, Springfield, Missouri; four sisters, Charlotte Warren, husband, Dennis and Christine Collins, husband, Mike, Sharon Davidson, all of West Plains, Missouri and Pauline Tucker, Bolivar, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents and one sister, Elilene Nichols, preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Norman Clayton Smith, 91, Peace Valley, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 5, 2016 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith died 6:00 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 at his home. He was born July 14, 1925 at Peace Valley, Missouri to Frank Arthur Smith and Ether Fannie Bennett Smith. He graduated from the Peace Valley High School and on September 5, 1945 was married at Peace Valley, Missouri to Dorothy Evelyn Payne who preceded him in death on July 24, 2010. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II in the Occupation of Japan. He was a well known beef and dairy farmer in the Peace Valley area. Mr. Smith was a licensed auctioneer; he loved to play baseball and basketball and enjoyed hunting, fishing and frogging. Also, he enjoyed singing at the area nursing homes. Mr. Smith was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by four children, Eugene Smith, wife, Rose, Peace Valley, Missouri, Judy Green, husband, Bob, West Plains, Missouri, Jana Greenwood, St. Robert, Missouri and Ruthanne “Andi” Scheets, husband, Bruce, Houston, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, Joshua Smith, wife, Kim, Jacob Smith, wife, Amy, Aleeza Maciariello, husband Pat, Adam Green, wife, Alicia, Aaron Fullerton, wife, Tara, Jenny Pina, husband, Luke, Ty Scheets, wife, Becca, Tanner Scheets,, wife, Chyenne, Camryn Scheets, Ryan Mardock and Savanna Mardock; twelve great-grandchildren, Avery, Anorah, Selah and Milanah Smith, Callie and Reese Maciariello, Allison, Aubrie and Vivian Green, Seth, Grant and Laken Fullerton; three step grandchildren, Tabbi McCallister, husband, Terry, Jarid Scheets, wife, Jennifer and Heather Chowning; eleven step great-grandchildren; two step great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ed Smith, Holden, Missouri; one sister, Vivian DeShazo, Lakeland, Florida; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Smith; sister-in-law, Sally Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Patricia Ann Warner 84, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Warner died 4:55 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 at NHC HealthCare. She was born September 13, 1931 at New Castle, Wyoming to Theodore Mikesell, Sr. and Louise Black Mikesell Maxey. Before her retirement, Mrs. Warner was employed as a CNA at several nursing homes. She enjoyed doing puzzles, crocheting, taking care of her house plants and loved to hear about her grandchildren’s many activities.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol Marcak, husband, Bennie, Debbie Stiner, husband, Donnie and Lynn Warner, all of West Plains, Missouri; five grandchildren, Gwen Osborn, husband, Derek, B.J. Marcak, Donnie Stiner, Jr., Tonya Stiner and Joseph Banning; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Marcak, Georgia and Makayla Osborn; sister-in-law, Florence Mikesell, Phoenix, Arizona; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her parents, two brothers, sister-in-law, Imogene Mikesell and her aunt, Lucille Barker, precede her in death.

Funeral services for Jennie O. Cresap, 95, Brandsville, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 30, 2016 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cresap passed away at 2:45 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2016 at Ozarks Medical Center.

She was born May 1, 1920, at Holland, Missouri, to Edward Olree and Rosa Howe Olree.  In 1940, she was married to Willis “Pete” Cresap, who preceded her in death.  She worked at a Shoe Factory at Caruthersville, Missouri and after her marriage she worked alongside her husband in their electrical business, living in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Fairbanks, Alaska before moving to Brandsville, Missouri.  Jennie and her husband helped raise their nephews, Tommy and David Tribble.  Mrs. Cresap was a member of Brandsville Church of Christ.

She is survived by one step-son, David Tribble; two brothers, Andrew Olree and David Olree; one sister, Judy Robinson; one sister-in-law, Trudy Olree; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, step-son, Tommy Tribble, three sisters, Vernell, Naomi and Eleanor and one brother, Harold, precede her in death.

Funeral services for John Crawford Eagleman, 91, Caulfield, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Prairie Grove Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Eagleman passed away at 9:22 a.m., Sunday, January 17, 2016 at his home.

He was born September 24, 1924, at Leota, Missouri, to Edward Barkley Eagleman and Ella Mae Crawford Eagleman.  On February 12, 1947, he was married to Goldie Anna Burden.  Mr. Eagleman received his education at Prairie Grove Elementary and graduated from Bakersfield High School.  He attended Prairie Grove Church of Christ, being a lifelong member.  Mr. Eagleman was a veteran, having served during World War II with the United States Merchant Marines.  He was a member of American Legion at Bakersfield, Missouri.  He, along with his brothers, Roy and Ralph, enjoyed going on the Honor Flight together to Washington, D.C. in 2011.  He worked at the International Shoe Factory and was a carpenter and a lifelong farmer, living on the family farm that has been in the Eagleman name for over one hundred years.  The farm was recognized as a “Century Farm” in 2004.  He served on the Free Union Cemetery Board and the Moody Community Center Board for many years.  John was a wonderful father, grandfather and uncle and was loved by many.

He is survived by his wife of nearly sixty-nine years, Goldie Eagleman, of the family home; four children, Edith Winchester and husband, Rodney, Roger Eagleman and wife, Darley, Connie Eagleman and Tim Eagleman and wife, Charm, all of Caulfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Shasta Foster and husband, Ron, Darrick Eagleman and wife, Tiffany, Jason Hensley and wife, Mandy, Matthew Hensley, Benjamin Hensley and wife, Jessica, Sarah Huett and husband, Joel, Missy Gastineau and husband, Steve, Holly Stephens and husband, Bryson, Emily Richardson and husband, Reggie; twenty-four great-grandchildren, Shaelyn, Sheyenne and Shaniah Foster, Megan, Alex, Jackson, Anderson and Cameron Hensley, Benjamin, Jr. and Chloe Hensley, Perri, Luke, Caleb, Andrew and Autumn Huett, Sharee, Adrianne and Breanna Gastineau, Bailey, Kaitlynn and Mason Stephens, Jon, Remington and Darren Richardson; step-grandchildren, Belinda and Donnie; one step-great-grandson, Gary Gastineau; two step-great-great-granddaughters, Taylor and Harper Gastineau; one brother, Joe Eagleman and wife, Doris, Lawrence, Kansas; three sisters, Reba Sigler, Moody, Missouri, Lu Harper and husband, Fred, Ocala, Florida and Wilma Boyd and husband, Houston, Odessa, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents, five brothers, Virgil, Edwin, Allen, Roy and Ralph Eagleman and two sisters, Grace Mahan and Fern Harber, precede him in death.

Graveside services for Viola Ruth Cauldwell, 78, Willow Springs, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 26, 2015 at Pine Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cauldwell passed away at 5:55 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2015 at her home.

She was born August 12, 1937 at Pratt, Kansas, to Buster Edwards and Katie Keith Edwards.  She attended school in Pratt, Kansas and on August 6, 1955, was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Jack Cauldwell.  After marriage the couple settled briefly in Kansas City, but became lifelong Willow Springs residents.  During her working career, she had worked for Conway Winter Factory, MFA and Kilpatrick’s.  Mrs. Cauldwell enjoyed her home and taking care of her family.  She did sewing, cross stitching and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.  Mrs. Cauldwell was a member of First Baptist Church of Willow Springs and had attended Pomona Christian Church.

She is survived by her spouse, Jack Lee Cauldwell, of the family home; her children, Michael Lee Cauldwell, wife, Gayla and their two daughters, Heather and Michelle, husband, Daryn and great-granddaughter, Harper; Kirby Ray Cauldwell, wife, Shelly and their son, Trey, wife, Courtney and great-grandson, Landry; Jack Dean Cauldwell, wife, Natalie and their sons, Brandon and Brian; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jean Burkhardt, Myrtle Trogdon,  husband, Gary, Joe Cauldwell, wife, Jean, Herschel Cauldwell, wife, Dixie, Carol Hiler, husband, Floyd, Larry Cauldwell and Lynn Cauldwell, wife, Mary; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Vera Jean Dickson, 89, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Oak Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dickson died at 4:32 a.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at West Vue Nursing Center.

She was born August 13, 1926, at Onaga, Kansas, to Harry Moody and Cora Deveny Moody.  She was married to Dayton Dale Kelly, who preceded her in death.  On November 22, 1956, she was married at Atchison, Kansas, to William Robert “Bill” Dickson, who preceded her in death on April 29, 2011.  Mrs. Dickson enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by five children, Dennis R. Kelly, Lake Charles, Louisiana, Sheila D. Planer, husband, Pat, Springfield, Missouri, Joan Kelly, husband, Mike, Kansas City, Kansas, Rebecca Wallace, husband, Kevin, Rogersville, Missouri and Jean Ann Dickson, West Plains, Missouri; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husbands, one son, Gary Kelly, two brothers and two sisters, precede her in death.

A memorial service for Peggy Lee Aubuchon, 59, Harrison, Arkansas, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Pomona, Missouri.

Mrs. Aubuchon died at 5:45 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2015, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, Harrison, Arkansas.

She was born January 21, 1956, at Portland, Oregon, to Richard E. Aubuchon and Agnes C. Nice Aubuchon McBride.  Peggy was a Christian and had a heart of gold.  She was a very passionate person and enjoyed baking and canning; was a great gardener and loved animals.

She is survived by two children, Leonard Lee and Christopher Lee; five grandchildren, Mason, Madison, Jade, Austin and Deagan; four brothers, Charley Aubuchon, wife, Lisa, George Aubuchon, Aaron Aubuchon, wife, Debbie and Richard Aubuchon, wife, Judy; three sisters, Claudia Smith, husband, Kelley, Candy Collins, husband, Earl and Agnes Patterson; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents precede her in death.

Funeral services for Billy Ray Cropper, 79, Koshkonong, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2015, at Central Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Cropper died at 5:27 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at West Vue Nursing Center.

He was born July 21, 1935, the sixth of six children to Samuel Tildon Cropper and Bertha Mae Martin Cropper. He was born and raised in Thomasville, Missouri. Mr. Cropper joined the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. He then became employed with McDonnell Douglas where he worked on the Apollo and Gemini Space Programs. In 1974, he moved to Koshkonong, Missouri, and worked for Oregon County as a road grader operator and was a farmer; he retired from Oregon County and continued to farm until his health deteriorated. He loved farming, fishing and hunting. Mr. Cropper was a member of Central Church of Christ. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Phyllis Cropper, West Plains, Missouri one daughter, Cindy Shipley and husband, Jeff, West Plains, Missouri; special grandson, Brennan; one sister, Roberta Prisock, Starkville, Mississippi; and one niece, who was raised by his parents, Beth Roberts, Couch, Missouri.

His parents, one son, Jeffery Ray Cropper, one sister, Silvia McCain, three brothers, Lloyd, Leonard and Samuel Cropper and one nephew, who was raised by his parents, Martin McCain, precede him in death.

Funeral services for Howard Ray Dunkin, 79, Wright City, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Dunkin died at 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2015, at his home.

He was born July 2, 1935, at Myrtle, Missouri, to Hershel Jefferson Dunkin and Alma Leota Ary Dunkin. On December 30, 1960, he was married at St. Louis, Missouri, to Nancy Ellis. Mr. Dunkin was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. Before his retirement, he worked as a machinist at Standard Machine Company and was a member of the machinist union. Mr. Dunkin was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dunkin, of the family home; one daughter, Wendy Dunkin, Barnhart, Missouri; two grandchildren, Nicole Carter, husband, Rich and Michael Cibulka and girlfriend, Brittani Thurman; one brother, Hanford Dunkin, wife, Freda, Bellflower, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, one son, Kelly Brandon Dunkin, two brothers and two sisters, precede him in death.

Graveside services for Lola Belle Roberts, 80, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Gospel Hill Cemetery, Pottersville, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Roberts died 12:09 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Ozarks Medical Center. She was born April 2, 1934 at West Plains, Missouri to Alfred Isaac Robinson and Verla Leona Hicks Robinson.  She graduated from the Dora High School and on April 18, 1953 was married at Sturkie, Arkansas to Dale Preston Roberts who preceded her in death on February 17, 1991.  Mrs. Roberts was  a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by three sons, James Michael Roberts, Charles Lee Roberts, wife, Beverly and Mark Wayne Roberts, wife, Sheryl, all of West Plains, Missouri; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Don Robinson, wife, Rita and Robert Robinson, all of Crider, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, one granddaughter, Sarah Joyce, and two brothers, Paul Robinson and Arch Robinson, precede her in death.

Funeral services for Howard A. Puckett, Jr., 79, Pottersville, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Langston Street Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Puckett died 9:35 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 at Brooke Haven HealthCare.  He was born April 19, 1935 at Donnan, Iowa to Howard A. Puckett and LaMyra Bright Puckett.  On November 8, 1959, he was married at the Union Grove Baptist Church near West Plains, Missouri to Wilma Lovan.  Mr. Puckett was a veteran having served with the United States Army.  He was a well know carpenter and enjoyed gardening and wood working.  Mr. Puckett loved his family and enjoyed taking the boys deer hunting. He served as a minister with the Full Gospel Church having pastored the Full Gospel Church of St. Louis for eleven years.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Puckett, of the family home; three children, Bruce Puckett,  Fayetteville, Arkansas, Kevin Puckett, West Plains, Missouri and Charla Prewett, husband, Dion, West Plains, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jeremy Prewett, Jarod Puckett, wife, Haley, Jason Puckett, wife, Erica, Marissa Spencer, husband, Mat, Kevin Mark Puckett, Jr. and Jordan Collins, husband, Raylee; eight great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Nancy Puckett;  four sisters, Dora Lloyd, Georgia Midyett, Helen Ferrell, Virginia Puckett and Ruth Wade, husband, Arnold; sister-in-law, Wilma Puckett; brothers-in-law, Wayne Lovan, wife, Barbara, Dallas Lovan, wife, Janet and Rickey Lovan, wife, Reda; and a host of nieces and nephews.

His parents, two brothers, Connie Puckett and Ralph Puckett, one sister, Goldie Puckett, three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Vivian Lovan, precede him in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4th, at the Langston Street Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pottersville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pottersville Cemetery or Gideon Bible Society and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Vada Irene Downen, 88, Moody, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 24, 2014 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Downen died  1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her home. She was born February 27, 1926 at Pocahontas, Arkansas to Eli Manley and Nancy Romans Manley.  On January 24, 1944, she was married at West Plains, Missouri to Raymond Augusta Downen, Jr. who preceded her in death on June 3, 1983.  Before her retirement, Mrs. Downen helped her husband in the logging business.  She enjoyed sewing and fishing and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Mrs. Downen was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by four children, Carolyn Surritte and Eugene Downen, wife, Lois, both of West Plains, Missouri, Patricia Brower and Charles Dennis Downen, both of Moody, Missouri; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Hobart Sweat, State of Missouri; one sister, Nadine Galloway, husband, Charles, West Plains, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, daughter, Karen Mauldin, son, Joe Downen, one sister, Geraldine and one that died in infancy and two brothers, James Manley and Johnny Manley, precede her in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 23rd, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Davis Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Gerald Edward Miller

was born November 24, 1926, at Denver, Colorado, to George E. Miller and Rose Mary Berndt Miller.  He was one of eight siblings.  Mr. Miller was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy as a corpsman during WWII, a fact that he was most proud of.

He met his wife, Alyce, at Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1946, and knew from the moment he laid eyes on her, that she would be the great love of his life. They were married in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on October 2, 1948, and were married for 65 wonderful years, until her passing in December of 2013. His heart never recovered from losing her. He went to be reunited with her on November 12, 2014, one day after celebrating his last Veteran’s Day, and just before his 88th birthday.

To that union, they were blessed with four children who survive. Patricia (Dale) Pfeiffer of Colorado Springs, Colorado,(children Brent, Eric and Alyssa)  Jeri Kay (Carl) Kyle of Lexington, Nebraska, (children Justin and Cristina)  Eileen (Larry)Wilson of West Plains, Missouri, (children Shauna Coleman,  Gabe and Bill Browning and Molly Wilson) and Richard Miller and significant other Jill Suits, of Johnstown, Colorado,(children Nicky and Danny) along with fourteen great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by siblings Robert (Ursula) Miller, Gladys (Mel) Cieloha and Thomas (Bev) Miller, all of the State of Colorado.

Preceding him are his beloved wife, Alyce and siblings George, Rosemary, Donald, and Joseph.

Gerald spent his life as a Certified Dental Technician, first for his best friend Forest Yeager in Grand Island, Nebraska. He then moved the family to Lexington, Nebraska along with his wife, also a Certified Dental Technician, and they opened Mil-Rey Dental, his own lab. He loved his work, and eventually moved his lab to Johnson’s Lake, Nebraska in semi-retirement. At the lake house he had a number of boats and enjoyed water skiing, ice skating, and fishing. While at the lake, they both became Emergency Medical Technicians and eventually opened the first ambulance service there.

He then retired to Bertrand, Nebraska where he made many friends, and introduced a Sunday morning after-church brunch, which grew to be a huge monthly event, earning enough to save the Veteran’s Building there.

They then moved to West Plains, Missouri to live with their daughter during their golden years.  In any town he lived in, he would make a distinctive mark by giving back to that community, and you can bet he would be a part of a card club that would meet often, as pitch was another of his delights. He was also a pilot, and owned several Cessnas throughout his life.

For those who want to participate in remembering how such a wonderful man touched their lives, a Memorial Service for Gerald Edward Miller, 87, West Plains, Missouri will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 17, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled Veteran’s or to Special Olympics and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Jack Orland Kennedy, 77, West Plains, Missouri will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 31, 2014, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Kennedy passed away at 1:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at his home.

He was born June 18, 1937, at Salem, Arkansas, eldest child and only son of Basil A. Kennedy and Olga Squire Kennedy. On October 26, 1947, he was married at Hernando, Mississippi, to his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Judith Ann Walker and to this union, three children were born: Richard Alan Kennedy, Steven Marshall Kennedy and Jackie Lynn Kennedy. Jack was a proud member of the Missouri National Guard for eight years. He worked at International Shoe Factory for several years while farming his own farm, cutting wood and working at a neighbor’s dairy. In 1969, he purchased the dairy and started Kennedy Dairy with his wife and children, becoming the Missouri Farm Family of the Year in 1973. Jack loved working the farm with his wife, father and sons at his side. He worked at Joy Dog Food for several years and in 1996 he started working as head custodian for Richard’s School. Jack loved kids, often decorating teachers chalk boards with his artwork of Disney and cartoon characters. After retirement, he expanded his love of gardening, planting and growing one of the largest and best gardens in the area. He loved supplying his family, friends and neighbors with the abundant produce he and Judy grew. In his spare time he enjoyed wood carving and made gifts of many of the “wood spirits” he carved. Jack was well liked and known to be one of the hardest working men around. He took pride in doing every job to the best of his ability, always going the extra mile to do things right. His family was his number one priority. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by them. Mr. Kennedy was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Kennedy, of the family home; his mother, Olga Kennedy, West Plains; two sons, Richard Kennedy, wife, Michelle and Steven Kennedy, wife, Tracy, all of West Plains; one daughter, Jackie Kennedy, West Plains; five grandchildren, Alison Alaimo, Springfield, Missouri, Michael Kennedy, Springfield, Missouri, James Kennedy, Aaron Kennedy and Krista Kennedy, all of West Plains; four great-grandchildren, Kiora and Quana Alaimo, Sydney and Andrew Kennedy; two sisters, Jane Gilbreath, husband, Jack, West Plains; and Jeannette Stephens, Schererville, Indiana; three nieces and one nephew.

His father, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mike and Flora Walker and one niece, Renee Stephens Casale, precede him in death.
