Cecil R. Cooper

Graveside services for Cecil R. Cooper, 75, Des Moines, Iowa, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Amy Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Cecil graduated to heaven on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Unity Point Health Des Moines Lutheran.   He was born July 13, 1938 in Leota, Missouri to Cecil and Leona (Butcher) Cooper. He married Phyllis McBride and following her death, married Ellen Moeller. He was a Charter Member of Grace Church in Des Moines.

Cecil is survived by his wife, Ellen; sons, Wayne Cooper, wife Kathleen and David Cooper, wife Lynda; daughter, Debra Cooper; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and sister, Nola Ritchie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and mother of his children, Phyllis.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.   Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Church, Des Moines, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
