Charles Delmer Hankins

Funeral services for Charles Delmer Hankins, 74, Liberty, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. 

Mr. Hankins died Thursday, November 8, 2012, at his home. 

He was born May 6, 1938, at DePaul, Iowa, to Delmer Claude and Eleanor Mae Bateham Hankins.  Before his retirement, Mr. Hankins was a bookkeeper at McLean Trucking and was a member of the Teamsters Union.  Mr. Hankins was of the Baptist faith. 

He is survived by two children, Charles Dean Hankins, Kansas City, Missouri and Jeff Hankins, wife, Sindi, Fort Riley, Kansas; two grandchildren, Justin Hankins and Caleb Hankins; one brother, Claude Hankins, Marshall, Missouri; two sisters, Beverly McCrackin and Barbara Wood, husband, Robert, both of Liberty, Missouri; sister-in-law, Bonnie Hankins, Farmington, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jackie Pressley, Liberty, Missouri.

His parents, two brothers, Arnold Dean and Ronald Gene Hankins and one sister, Sharon Sue Hankins, precede him in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Wayside Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans or Wayside Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
