Charles Robert Adams
Graveside services for Charles Robert Adams, 85, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2018 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Adams passed away at 2:15 a.m., Friday, May 18, 2018 at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born March 7, 1933, at Frederick, Oklahoma, to Clarence Adams and Bessie Pruitt Adams. On February 22, 1954, he was married at Enid, Oklahoma, to Lydia Pauline Decker. He graduated from High School in Frederick, Oklahoma, with the Class of 1951 and attended Business College in Enid, Oklahoma. Mr. Adams was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy for four years during the Korean Conflict. He worked at S. H. Kress Co. in Enid and Tulsa Oklahoma, Champion Oil Co. and retired in 1986 from Phillips Petroleum, Bartlesville, Oklahoma. In 1991, he moved to West Plains, Missouri, where he had two horses and a dog that he enjoyed very much. He loved photography, taking pictures and working with electronics and his computer. Mr. Adams was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Lydia Pauline Adams; one brother, Joe Adams, one nephew, Jerry Adams; and several cousins.
His parents, one son, one daughter, one brother, Tom Adams and one nephew, Jeff Adams, preceded him in death.
Mr. Adams will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverways Hospice or Riverways Home Health and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
