Clayton Damon
A memorial service for Clayton Eugene Damon, 61, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Damon passed away at 7:03 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born March 11, 1958, at Hawthorne, California, to Robert and Connie Tye Damon. The family resided in Visaila, California, until Clayton was 12 years old, at which time they moved to Missouri. They lived in Mountain Grove, Missouri for 3 years and moved to West Plains. On May 24, 1983, he was married at West Plains, to Elaine Ipock. Clayton was an avid outdoorsman, he loved playing golf and to him there was nothing finer than throwing out a lure and catching a big one. His proudest achievement was he and his wife’s one and only daughter, Llana. His greatest joy was on May 9, 1984 when he was rushed home from his AIT graduation ceremony to be with his wife to welcome their daughter into the world.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Damon; daughter, Llana Damon; one brother, Duane Damon and wife, Beverly; two nieces, Morgan and Kensie; sister-in-law, Judy McGoldrick; brother-in-law, Roy Ipock and wife, Debbie and their children; and many close friends.
His parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maurine and Jasper Ipock, two brothers-in-law, Jerry McGoldrick and Andy Ipock, and one niece Julie McGoldrick, preceded him in death
Memorial contributions may be made to UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing) or St. Joseph’s Indian School and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
