Clifford Alford Morgan
Graveside services for Clifford Alford Morgan, 86, Pomona, Missouri, will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2012 at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery at White Church, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, Missouri.
Mr. Morgan died 3:30 a.m., Sunday, July 29, 2012 at NHC HealthCare, West Plains, Missouri. He was born September 7, 1925 at Peetz, Colorado to Alford Elmer and Hazel Wellet Morgan. On May 15, 1949, he was married at Sterling, Colorado to Christina Weingardt for thirty-seven years. Mr. Morgan was a veteran having served with the United States Army during World War II. He owned Morgan Floor Covering; was a farmer, and before his retirement, was the crew chief for the weatherization department of Ozark Action. Mr. Morgan enjoyed racing his stock car, playing poker and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by three children, Eugene Morgan, wife, Nova, Pomona, Missouri, Janice Montgomery, Little Rock, Arkansas and Tim Morgan, wife, Janette, Sterling, Colorado; six grandchildren, Amanda Frost, Shanna Moss, Milissa Battles, Christy Morgan, Taura McClanahan, and Ryan Morgan; ten great-grandchildren, Hailey, Hannah, Caleb, Aiden, Madison, Hunter, Blake, Keely, Ian and Addison; two brothers, Donald Morgan, Sterling, Colorado and Gilbert Morgan, wife, Ruth, Portland, Oregon; one sister, Helen Dilsaver, State of California; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, wife, special friend, Maggie Presley, and three grandsons, Cory Morgan, Jimmy and Brian Flood, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2nd, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Three Rivers Hospice and mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, Missouri 65775.
